DEFRAG
Privacy Policy — effective July 4, 2026
The short version
DEFRAG collects nothing. The game has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party services, and no network features of any kind. It never transmits anything, because there is nothing to transmit and nowhere to send it.
Data stored on your device
The game keeps two small local files: your world seed with run
progress, and your settings (volumes, display options). On the Mac App
Store version these live inside the app's sandbox container; otherwise
in ~/Library/Application Support/DEFRAG/. They never leave
your Mac, and deleting the app (or the folder) removes them.
Screenshots you take with the P key are saved to your
own Pictures folder and are yours alone.
What we receive
Nothing. We have no servers. We cannot see that you own the game, that you launched it, or anything you do in it.
Storefronts
If you bought DEFRAG through the Mac App Store or Steam, those platforms handle your purchase and may process data under their own privacy policies (Apple's and Valve's respectively). That happens outside the game and is not something we control or have access to.
Children
Since no data is collected from anyone, no data is collected from children either.
Changes
If a future update ever changes any of the above (for example, optional cloud saves), this page will be updated first and the effective date revised.
